Super excited to announce the arrival of our Smooth Ambler Old Scout Redstone Barrel Society Single barrel bourbon! One of just 3 single barrels slated for Massachusetts this year and available to our customers at both Redstone location as well as on RedstoneLiquors.com and our App.

This Particular barrel was born at MGPs and aged for more than 5 years (almost 6) at Smooth Ambler. It clocks in at a modest 116.6 proof, each bottle also adorns the Redstone barrel society logo and is hand dipped in Green wax to signify just how money this barrel tastes.

Nose of sweet burnt caramel, sweet dried vanilla and stewed cherry. On first taste sweet bing cherries dominate the front palate and hit you like a macho man elbow from the top rope. More cherries on the finish with some baking spice to leave you with a cherry pie like finish good enough that warrant wrote a song about it. Minimal heat for 116 proof but still no slouch.

We are happy to announce the arrival of our hand selected single barrel of Bulleit Bourbon. This barrel was bottled a few months shy of its 14th birthday but happy to report that its well of age.

We have had the good grace to be able to select many barrels over the years that being said this particular one has one of the best noses and body that we have tasted. Thick syrupy texture on the mouth feel that is lush with notes of butterscotch and caramel with bits of toffee stopping in to say hello. (Think those Worthers original candies your grandmother used to give you as a child). Notes of toffee and some stone fruit emerge in the ever lasting finish leaving you wanting to take another sip. Not much heat on the finish but at 104 proof it definitely gives the impression that its not messing around. The nose on this barrel is thick like fog, sweet and decadent taking over the room like walking into a 20 year old rick house that is next door to a caramel factory.

Excited to announce the arrival of our hand selected single barrel of Eagle Rare Bourbon. In 2018 The distillery decided not to send any single barrels out to the entire country because of supply issues so this will be out first barrel since then. Eagle rare is always one of our favorite barrels to pick and this one does not disappoint.

On first impression notes of thick caramel and vanilla bean dominate the nose. Mouthfeel is weighty and lush bringing way to more caramel, dark chocolate and stone fruit with a slight toffee backing reminiscent of a cadbury fruit and nut bar. Slight burnt toffee along with hints of cherry and some baking spice round out the finish making you long for that next sip.

This barrel has a big nose of ripe green apple and and thick caramel. Right out of the gate the noticeably sticky mouthfeel tastes like a candied green apple dipped in sweet gooey caramel. Finish lasts for days with a lingering milky way bar finish of slight milk chocolate drizzles over more layers of caramel and nougat. No inkling of heat at all on the front or back of this bourbon. Enjoy neat on its own or pair with vanilla ice cream or apple crumble.

We are super excited to announce the arrival of not one but 2 different Single barrel Bourbons from Knob Creek. Why 2 at once you ask? We wanted to showcase just how all single barrels are not created equal with each one unique in its own right. A little bird also told us that these single barrels will not be as easy to get next year.

Both of these barrels were aged on the 5th floor of the same warehouse (W-L) only a week separates their age and both proofed at 120. That being said both are so wonderfully different from each other. For those not afraid to experiment, when blended together at home you will gain an entirely new perspective on how two incredible bourbons can not only stand alone and be great but create an entirely different experience when married together.

Barrel 1 we dipped in WHITE WAX to signify its huge vanilla presence. Bold up front baking spice and toffee make way to a BIG ending that is reminiscent of a vanilla beans soaked in a creme brûlée topped with subtle notes of dark stone fruit asking if they can join the party.

Barrel 2 just 6 days older than its sibling is dipped in RED WAX to signify its Big Bold smack you in the face with a bunch of Cherries flavor profile. On first sip you will notice a massive body with notes of caramel and slight bakers spice trying to make its way through what feels like an entire orchid of cherries! Juicy and robust the cherries dominate the mid palate but leave you with a finish of oatmeal cookies and slight cinnamon tingle having your tongue just begging for you to take the next sip.

50% White 50% Red= 100% Incredible! We were not kidding when we say mix these two together. A mixture of half white barrel and half red barrel gives you a burst of maple syrup, vanilla bean and stone fruit on the nose. The mouthfeel it creates is velvety and bold with an over the top knock out punch of bing cherry, vanilla & caramel leaving you with a spiced oatmeal cookie and dried cherry finish that lasts for days.

These will be the last 2 bottles in our infinity Redstone series with the 2 bottles making the last stone.
